What is Diagnostic Radiology?

Diagnostic Radiology employs imaging modalities to aid in the diagnosis of injury or disease. Commonly used diagnostic imaging modalities include X-Ray, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, and Nuclear Imaging techniques PET; PET CT). There are a number of subspecialties, including Neuroradiology, Body Imaging, Breast Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Pediatric Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Fluoroscopy.
